Stourport – The Jewel of the Severn - 36 locks
Day 1:
Boat collection at 2pm, leave base by 4pm and head south towards Stourport. Travel for 3 hours and pass through 6 locks to the Vine public house in Kinver.
Overnight near Kinver.
Day 2:
9am start, cruise for 7 hours and pass through 12 locks arrive in Stourport Basin at approximately 4pm.
Overnight in Stourport.
(Alternative 1 – Leave Stourport at approx 6pm and travel north for 1.5 hours passing through 5 locks to the Bird in Hand public house).
Day 3:
9am Start, cruise for 10 hours passing through 17 locks to the Navigation public house at Greensforge.
(Alternative 1 – 9am start, cruise for 8 hours passing though 12 locks to Navigation PH, Greensforge at approximately 5pm).
Overnight in Greensforge.
Day 3:
8.30 start for Boat return by 9am at Hinksford Wharf.
Please note that these are only example routes. You are responsible for your own itinerary. Please make sure that you take into allowance things like late arrivals, level of traffic on the canal, lock waits and mooring availability.
