Stourport Ring - 118 Locks
This route is achievable in 7 days but would be more suited to 10. Route plan is based on 7 days/6 nights. We would suggest planning to eat more aboard than in pubs etc…
Day 1:
Boat collection at 2pm, leave base by 4pm and head north. Travel for 3 hours and pass through 9 locks to overnight near Dimmingsdale moorings.
Day 2:
8am start, cruise for 10 hours and pass through 28 locks and 2 tunnels arriving near the Old Bush public house to overnight at approximately 6pm.
Day 3:
8am Start, cruise for 9 hours passing through 2 locks and 5 tunnels to arrive and overnight near Tardebigge Wharf at approximately 5pm.
Day 4:
8am Start, cruise for 9 hours passing through 42 locks and 1 tunnel to arrive and overnight near the Bridge Inn public house at Tibberton at approximately 6pm.
Day 5:
8am Start, cruise for 10 hours passing through 18 locks including the River Severn to arrive and overnight near the River Severn moorings.
Day 6:
8am Start, cruise for 10 hours passing through 19 locks and 2 tunnels to arrive and overnight near the Navigation Inn public house at Greensforge.
Day 7:
8.30 start for Boat return by 9am at Hinksford Wharf.
Please note that these are only example routes. You are responsible for your own itinerary. Please make sure that you take into allowance things like late arrivals, level of traffic on the canal, lock waits and mooring availability.
